Who is Mater Admirabilis?

"Mother Most Admirable." The original Mater (pronounced Mah-tare), a fresco painted by Pauline Perdreau, RSCJ at the Trinita dei Monti in Rome, represents Our Lady as a young girl. Sacred Heart students around the world have had a special devotion to Mater since the mid-nineteenth century. The Feast of Mater Admirabilis is celebrated on October 20 and the entire school community wears pink in her honor.
