She is our Mission.

For over 200 years, our Mission has been the education and formation of girls to be women of faith and intellect, crusaders for justice, and servant leaders.

Set on 255 picturesque acres in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, the Academy of the Sacred Heart is the idyllic destination for girls to quiet the distractions of busy life and focus on their spiritual, academic, and personal growth and development.  For over 200 years, Sacred Heart girls have chosen the Academy as their second home, a place to become confident and compassionate trailblazers; to be leaders, givers, thinkers, and achievers. Our curriculum and entire community are specifically designed to support the growth and development of Sacred Heart girls into strong women of faith and substance.

The Academy of the Sacred Heart serves girls from 1-year old through 12th grade.  A Sacred Heart education encourages thinking beyond borders of all kinds. We inspire students to challenge themselves intellectually, think analytically, and develop critical 21st century skills through a rigorous curriculum.

Valuing curiosity, inquiry and investigation, each grade-level curriculum is designed to build the skills of flexible thinking, critical reasoning and purposeful collaboration. Our strong multidisciplinary curriculum is rich with integrated learning opportunities that push our students to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of cross-curricular ways that extend far beyond the classroom.
